My greatest sense of focus and of joy happens when I am face to face with another human being, spending time and developing relationship with them. Valuing people happens in noticing little aspects of who they are, which causes me to find meaning in colors. These are small, non-representational portraits of people in my life. Each is made around a word, voided out and distorted, but then comes with a reflective word in response to my feelings around that person or the process of attempting to represent them.
